The Time Zone Travelers - Chapter 2

random men in local cantinas (bars) around town, each time by ten years. What she did not realize was that she was trapping them in their own personal time loop hell.

Doctors believe these men have become irrational because they were perfectly normal before they met Sonia Esperanda. But what she really has become is the Typhoid Mary of time travel. The elders in the community believe her abilities to bewitch men are the work of the devil. They put together a plan to have her burnt at the stake. They believe she is a witch. As they lit up her home, they read her the charges. "You are charged with bewitching men, making them believe they do not belong on this good earth and trapping them in a perpetual state of anguish."

She escapes from her back window and runs through the muddy soil bare foot. She is frighten her eyes widen and face frozen.

She falls backwards on her freshly clean night gown and beautiful flowing hair are now browned from the soil.

Before she could stand up she slumped from exhaustion and laid on the ground. Some of the men surrounds the property looking for her.

"There's no one in the back" they proclaimed.

As she laid there they could not see her she had unknowingly camouflage herself, "come out Esmeralda!" They said aloud.

After a while she heard orders given to search the field.

She mustered all the strength and courage she could and ran to her neighbors, there she meets Tomas in the backyard of his home. She requests that he kiss her, but instead leaned in.

"What was that for?" he said.

She did not bother to answer him and quickly exited, looking back in horror as the torchlight drew nearer. She ran as fast as she could and yelled, "Start kissing other people." If you should find yourself stuck, she said.

"I know, and thanks for helping him years ago." He replied.

"I haven’t," she said.

"But you will," Tomas replied, holding his rake with a smile. "You will."

Just before her feet could touch the forest walls, she found herself ten years further back in her original timeline. When she materialized before Tomas, he thought he was truly going mad. It was the first thing different he had seen in a long time. All the other events were caused and affected by his own hand of will... but this was something different. Sitting on his back porch with a lit cigar in his mouth, it dropped away from his hand and lap. After a few moments, his face contorted. His eyes bulged red, and the veins inside his neck made a flash visit... to his face. Suddenly, he hopped onto his feet as if he were a rabbit caught in a trap.

It made it especially stressful when he noticed his cup was empty. Once filled with lemon tea, it would not be able to help him cool down.

She tells him to court other people or kiss someone if he wants to be free. Immediately, he planted a kiss on her, which freed him from his long nightmare... They were surprised that she or he had not disappeared. They spent hours talking in the parlor room, getting to know one another. In their younger years, they were best of friends, and were never seen without the other.

A terrible argument of which they both could not remember droved their friendship apart. They had not spoken to one another since that fateful day.

Tomas excuses himself to retrieve a ring he found recently that belonged to Sonia.

His mother, Maria, and sister Rosa, are happy to see the two have put their differences aside… It had been a long strain for both sides of their families, who once shared a comfortable relationship.

Tomas agreed he should have never let the pass ruin their future… then headed back to the parlor.

In a joyful mood Sonia walked over to a mirror at the back of the room and stroked her hair. Standing next to an open window, a gush of wind ran through her dress, it flowed like a gentle river. Her eyes glistening like a diamond basket of stars, while the sunlight illuminated her skin to a
