New-Crime Fiction (NCF) was first developed in the 1990’s and coined in 2018. Inspired by The Godfather Part III and “We’re No Angels” Crime, Comedy (1989 film)

It's origins comes out of crime novels such as The Godfather, Scarface and films like A Bronx TaleGood-fellasNew Jack City, Juice and the more recent water shed mark film, The Family.

The need to differentiate from Crime Fiction and it's sub-genres came about partly due to quite a number of websites dedicated to the genre would include Thrillers, Mystery, Spy, Suspense, and Detective, into their catagory list, with very little Gangster stories... hardly any to none taken precedence, this includes subgenres from other sites such as American Crime Fiction and Crime Novel, thus making it difficult to find the perfect read.

Complicating matters, search engines also yield poor results, and abandon in favor of other search terms.
