The Time Zone Travelers - Chapter 6

to that of the Aztecs and Egyptians with a slight early modern touch. Their enemies were the blue crab people that lived in the deep parts of the mainland.

James never thought he’d say the words, and from the mere thought he convulsed while his face contoured he let out a stuttered.

“hey hey , let’s Ka-Ka-iss and get out of here.” He and Jack reluctantly touched lips, but neither of them could travel back in time. They were surprised that it had all come to naught, and wondered why.

Shortly after auctioneers brought James and John to the main city of Labore, they discovered a pyramid-shaped building. It’s most purposeful use as a power plant and emitted an energetic field at the top.

A neck brace made from metallic alloys worn by a newly enslaved population vibrated upon their arrival. It served as an electrical conductor to discourage any kind of escape; it also prevented the two from time traveling. In order to operate the facility, the plant used battery powder, which needed refilling. The due date was quickly approaching. Their plan was to ignite the storage unit. They would first enlist the help of a lizard slave named Zilcrot, who agreed.

However, the Laborayaz later imported what they needed from the lobster people of Africa.

As for Plan B, they decided to sabotage the powered battery by mixing alcohol and manure. The intended thought behind it, they wanted to burn the fuel out quickly.

Politics kept the plant open and the city became uninhabitable because of the foul air pollution. Everyone was sick, so the population fled, except for the slaves. It appeared the plan was backfiring. Leaving meant a certain death.

Some slaves made a daring attempt, but the brace around their necks electrocuted them, falling to their knees, convulsing. Their eyes popped out of their sockets, and then a mist bellowed out, the top of their heads exploding while their brains came out of their noses.

A top trusted scientist and philosopher believed slavery is the bastard child of injustice. For years Jobber Zanster had worked on a vaccine that could tip the balance.

When he discovered and isolated the genes responsible for racism, he called it the predatorial gene transfer, PRGT. For the passive gene transfer PAGT, and for many years he advocated the remarkable properties as a necessary remedy for health and vitality. With the extraordinary circumstances at hand, he first vaccinated his own people, and the PRGT to a slave population. However, after taken the vaccine, many slaves found out its true purpose. From down the clinic halls, laughter could be heard in the background. Dunurs (nurse aids) tried to calm down their patients, but it had been too overwhelming to handle.

“What’s so funny?” James asked a doctor, who stood by the exit in amazement.

“We are like them now!” a homeless old man said loudly. “Can you believe it?”

A celebration abruptly began.

Jack was standing in the back corner of the room with a perplexed look across his face, saying, “What does that really mean?” When James came his way, he reached for his arm.

“Hey… they gave us the racist gene.”

James face turned white with disbelief.
