The Time Zone Travelers - Chapter 7

“Wait a minute,” stroking his chin, “we have that already back home,” James reasoned, “which means they found what makes our kind enslave and subjugate the world population inside you and me.”

“Yeah, but I’ve never done that.”

“Maybe we’re the exception, or it skipped us.” James remarked.

“Everyone is happy about this, you know.”

A disappointed look came across James face, and his mood turned somber. “Yeah.. well they don’t know what they’ve done.” As he stood, anger grew inside. “Shit no… I don’t need this shit!” James proclaimed. “We need to reverse it!” He then took off while Jack followed behind.

“If the racism gene skipped us, then we may need this ability to give us the edge in the future.” Jack said.

“Then you’ve fallen for the hype.”

His statement abruptly broke his stride. “Hype?” he said aloud. “What exactly does that word mean?” Jack remarked.

The guard’s position turned from the delightful pleasures of a cold-hearted demeanor to anger. With a flick of the overseer’s hand, Jobber is sent to the dungeon of death, where no one has ever come back.

The captives who adored him were mostly former slaves who knew him to be a champion of equality. He is so respected and highly revered that his words and thoughts on this subject did not tarnish his reputation. Jobber is the modern-day equivalent of Martin Luther King, Tesla, and a
