The Time Zone Travelers - Chapter 4

The doctor agrees. However, James can not wait. At nightfall, he breaks into his office and copies all of his files.

In addition, they forward their contacts' urgent messages. After a few correspondences, Danial was able to finally setup a FaceTime call. He discovered they had a few things in common, they all shared the same blood type, zero negative.

Some people in the group experience déjà vu, while others live in a perpetual time loop. A few lucky ones would cycle in and out, for weeks at a time.

James revealed that occasionally he would find himself stuck, but in different time loops.

A couple by the name of John and Mary admitted they had not been together since the quarantine pandemic began. In their excitement they gave one another a kiss, but in an instant vanished before the groups eyes. In the pass the tragic bond they shared cemented their relationship forever… and now they have gone beyond the veil of reality.

Everyone is upset, especially Jen and Bob, a couple who are also quarantined separately. They believe that if they should kiss, they will suffer the same fate. The wondering made them think that kissing was now a potentially deadly affliction. However, the disappearing couple ended up ten years into the future. In their absence, the home was sold, which they believed to still be their place of residence; an altercation took place with the new owner, and the police were called. In front of their former home, John’s brother Ricky picks them up.

 “Where have you guys been all these years?”

“We haven’t been anywhere,” John said.

“Stop playing, get us out of here,” Mary said.

Ricky is surprised and taken aback by their remark and asks for a hug.

“You’re freaking lucky that the home owner is not pressing charges against you, and he’s one of my employees, otherwise you’d be spending a night in jail.” Then he hopped into his car and drove them with the intent of bringing them back to his place.

The young couple looked at one another with loving eyes. They whispered in one another’s ears, and then began to kiss, which brought them years further into the past. The couples’ parents as kids were both murdered in a double homicide robbery gone wrong. The perpetrators were never apprehended. With their new found powers, they want to settle the score. Ricky realizes that both are no longer in his car with him. The situation leaves Ricky dumbfounded and parked on the side of the road.

After some time has passed, James' group realizes that kissing might not kill you. They discovered that the side effects were unpredictable; what worked for one person did not work for another. They concluded that each person’s immune system and body chemistry can affect how time travel works for each individuals.

Jen and Bob made an important announcement and admitted they were intimate a few nights before, breaking a sudden and unexpected time loop. For a while, they managed to get most of their lives back on track, as much as Ben tried to please Jen but after sometime she wanted a divorce. 

"It's impossible, did you forget every now and then we get stuck in a time loop."

"No I didn't forget!"

"who else are you gonna see? "pause" don't tell me James?" 

"Your so jealous, that's why I hate you." Jen said.

"Our child your carrying needs a father especially now more then ever."

'I can't do this anymore." She said.

A few days later Bob moves out, it's pouring outside, he drags his things to the driveway and hops into his vehicle soaking wet.

A long hallway door swings open, Bob and Jen siting at a table signing the divorce papers.

Afterwards Bob went bar hopping to get his mind off the divorce, in the meantime he convinced himself his ex was holding him back.

Sitting there just before the end of the night he realized it was his birthday.

"Another round" slurring his words, "Its my birthday" he said to the bartender.

Other patrons wished Bob a happy birthday and then celebrated with him. He felt in a better mood, completely forgetting about his situation, he kissed another woman.

When suddenly the room began to spin and broke apart as if someone torn and crushed an old photograph. He falls to his knees and looked up to the sky, realizing what he had done. A feeling of regret and agony came across his face.

"Shit, shit no...no" He said.

The act sent him ten years back in time and the young woman in a time loop. He has become the male typhoid
