Tips on How to write to Major Studios and Film Agents!

Hello everyone this is for actors including writers who wants to send their synopsis to film agencies too, in all likelihood just about everyone will not hear back from them, however you never know.

The list are from major or prominent film agencies and film studios.

If you've written a screenplay or book it is best you let film agencies know you have a project that would make their search a little bit easier.

In addition do not mention or write in your email subject submission or Represention unless asked if not they will block your message and return it back unopened...or ignore you all together.

It is best you befriend them first alternatively wish them a happy holiday or wish them a happy birthday, doing this might take some time to figure out but it is worth raising your odds.

It helps if you let them know of your production company or if you do not have one you can still claim you do by making a Facebook page...etc, in my own situation I created a literary and film production blog and page, as they will take you much more seriously... Because they are always receiving materials from major studios and lit agencies.

This next advice maybe controversial, if you are related to someone famous, state it if you can in your messages.

This works best if you are an actor looking for representation but if you're a writer it works best with film agents and literary agencies.

Writers should leave their high status at the door when messaging film companies because they couldn't give a dam unless you are an actor.

The reason for this is because they can leverage it for publicity or have a lore of esteem pedigree surround their project which is hard to find but worth the box office sales.

Now if you are not related to anyone famous, some of you might take it upon yourself to pretend however in this day and age it's mostly easy to verify... in my case it's both difficult and verifiable.

If you don't have an acting resume or you haven't done anything in awhile you are screwed, because the industry likes update resumes and individuals with experience.

Some people take upon themselves to fake it till they make it... and as I mentioned before its mostly easily verifiable so be careful...its very tempting to lie and to say you are a member of Financial Core (Fi Core) in my case I lost a big role because the other person (runner up) claimed Fi Core when I didn't... The thing I learned years later he probably most likely wasn't a member.

I hope this helps...good luck!
