Point Blank Your Writing Sucks!!!

Sometimes there are moments when a writer questions his or her craft and ask themselves is it all worth it?

For the most part the money is dismal and the recognition covered by competition. Your special sauce buried in mounds of words chains, that seems like a terrific traffic jam.

The nightmare glares at you day in and day out... only a few sales sailed across your dashboard. Does this sound familiar, I hear of this all the time.

The fact of the matter is you must invest in your brand and product, if not you might fall under the Prince Curse.

A long long time ago far far away in the land of the Americas, actually not to long ago, there were two musicians, one vow to be the best the other let his work speak for itself.

Even though his music was richer deeper, melodic, he never out sold his rival.

Till today for the most part he is seen as the number #2 guy.

He rarely gave interviews and never promoted his brand.

He never resold his hits as promotion for another album.

The artist I am taking about is the late Prince. Unlike his rival Michael Jackson pulled all the stops... the impact is felt today.

His voice was much more pleasing and his dancing for many was much more dazzling.

Something perhaps Prince didn't take into account.

Another example JK Rowling's Harry Potter and J. R. R. Tolkien The Lord of the Rings and C.S Lewis The Chronicles of Narnia, battled the pages and cinema houses across the globe including the merchandise market; only for Rowling's to wins hands down for a variety of reasons.

Of course the obvious, she is the only author alive to give interviews, and Rowling's publishing company has spent more on promotion then her rivals. Yet the ring is touted as a better read.

Even though today your writings are not read by the masses and it is quite a genius piece if work, its sucks because it is being vacuumed and SUCKED to the bottom of the ocean!

Invest in yourself... period.

And great things could happen!!!
