Kevin Huvane's Rise to Power!!!

Kevin Huvane grew up in the Fordham and Concourse section of the Bronx.

A teen of the 70's the odds were stacked against him...gangs roamed the streets, muggings became a regular scene in the landscape. Addicts engaged in illegal activities just for their next fix.

The School dropout rate was climbing and a lack of or reduction in government services further demoralized the residents.

Despite these adversities the neighborhood and the surrounding areas managed to hold it together. Kevin did all the right things and at age sixteen went to work as a bellman, doorman and elevator operator at the Wyndham hotel on 58th between Fifth and Sixth.

After college he returned at the owner's request and was put in charge of accommodating celebrity guest.

It would ultimately change his life... one day after fifteenth minutes he managed to convince a note worthy celebrity who wanted a different suite to stay in his room and than gave him a better deal. His abilities to adapt was remarkable and instead of fronting a little bit of Bronx attitude that might have gone down like a led balloon he flourish and was noticed by the chairman of William Morrison Nat Lefkowitz wife's best friend. So impressed she remarked that he would make a great agent and recommended Kevin... it was the start to a promising career.

In later years he went on to work for Creative Artist Agency (CAA), a powerhouse agent and managing partner for the largest talent agency in Hollywood.

Unfortunately poverty in his old neighborhood is a real problem then and now and is to great for anyone person to solve... however, if celebrities born or raised in the Bronx as a collective whole were to put their heads together they can eliminate or seriously bring a dent into the war on poverty in some of the areas that surround Fordham road are the neighborhoods most poorest sections of the Bronx and of all of the five boroughs including the tristate.
